MuseGo
MuseGo: Accessible Museum Experience App
MuseGo is an equity-centered iPad app concept designed to make museum experiences more accessible, flexible, and inclusive through virtual tours that can be experienced anytime and anywhere. Grounded in equity-centered design principles, the project considers how differences in ability, language, age, geographic location, technological access, and personal circumstances can shape participation in cultural and educational experiences.
Designed around diverse user needs, MuseGo provides multiple ways to engage with museum collections beyond the physical museum environment. The app offers flexible tour lengths to accommodate different schedules, attention spans, and learning preferences, multilingual content to support broader audiences, and accessible features that reduce barriers to navigating and understanding museum content. Through an intuitive iPad-based experience, MuseGo demonstrates how digital technology and equity-centered design can expand access to museums and create more meaningful opportunities for cultural engagement, exploration, and learning.
